![](https://i.imgur.com/krr8f2gs.jpg) it's only you and me and all of your fears scream -- BoA words: 248 notes: nada Everything was going off the rails.
Eddie wasn't sure what the hell had happened (well, okay, he knew that everything probably would have gone much smoother if Roy and Mason hadn't crashed the party), but the seance had been interrupted by upset spirits that didn't like an audience. He supposed Seer only had clearance to have a couple of people in the cemetery and no one liked uninvited guests.
While Seer had seemed like they were trying to talk down the spirits, they weren't listening. Instead, they still tossed projectiles at Eddie, Roy, and Mason. Roy was handling many of them with his abilities and Mason virtually disappeared, so Eddie took a few seconds to rev up his own music.
What could soothe spirits? Eddie put his music on a playlist of instrumentals, ones with flutes and pianos, soft keys that he hoped would help calm down everyone. The music floated from his headphones and he mimed pulling out the soundwaves from the speakers as he heard the music. The volume increased with his abilities and he gestured widely, the soundwaves soaring towards where the spirits (or, at least, where most of the stones and flower vases were being held up in the air) to try to either soothe the spirits or make them pause long enough for he and his friends to get out of there.
"We didn't mean to disturb you," he said, trying to keep his tone as calm as the music. "Please... stand down!"

Their arms were suddenly pinned to their sides from beneath their cloak, and Seer twisted enough to see one of their client's friends behind them. To Mason's question, Seer blurted out, "No! I was just borrowing the space. They're not loyal to me or anything--Salem, he doesn't mean any harm, put that down!"
There was a decently-sized decorative stone that was floating towards Mason's head. At Seer's words, the stone paused before dropping unceremoniously to the ground. In a murmur, Seer said, "Salem is loyal to me. And does not like all of your... tricks."
Seer inclined their head towards Roy controlling water projectiles and Mason's camouflage abilities went unspoken. Despite their tone holding both surprise and suspicion at the so-called tricks before them, they stayed quiet as Eddie turned on his music and watched as soundwaves were directed in the general direction of the irritated spirits.
The piano music seemed to soothe the spirits, actually. Many of the flower vases and stones were slowly released, clunking to the ground, and Seer took a deep breath as the spirits seemed to calm down.
"Let go of me," Seer said to Mason. Louder, Seer said, "Spirits, please go back and rest. We will be leaving." ( Foxtrot Hydro Incognito)

Tag: Foxtrot Incognito Nightcrawler:seer Words: 158 Roy slowed down his own defensive maneuvers as his friends got into their own places. Mason was by Seer and Eddie's abilities seemed to be the most effective against the spirits. While Roy stayed in a defensive position, the remainder of the water he was controlling hovering by his side, he watched and listened as Eddie gestured arcs of soothing soundwaves towards where Roy presumed was the majority of angry ghosts.
The music appeared to work and Roy reached over to lightly touch Eddie's shoulder. With a glance to Seer and Mason, Roy said, "Let's get going... We'll move slow."
As the group began to start leaving, Roy said, "Eddie and, uh, Seer... Mason and I really didn't mean to interrupt. We were just worried about our friend. And, yeah, none of what you were doing was any of our business," he added specifically to Eddie, "but we could clearly tell something was bothering you. You scared us."

Okay, so that didn't work.
Mason was actually about to let go of Seer when he first spotted the decorative stone heading towards his, well, head, but Seer thankfully understood that Mason wasn't going to harm them. The one spirit (or ghost or whatever it was) called Salem at least listened to Seer.
It was clear that their mutant abilities weren't winning them any favors with the ghosts of the cemetery, but Eddie's music seemed to soothe the spirits enough so the group could start inching their way out of the place. Mason released Seer's arms and caught up with Roy and Eddie as Roy spoke with their friend about why they interfered.
"Yeah, man." Mason nudged Eddie's arm. "Sorry to interrupt everything, but we like you and want to make sure you're safe."
He turned to Seer and added, "You too, I suppose, although I don't know who the hell you are. You alright from... all of that?" He gestured vaguely to the area they were leaving behind pretty much in a mess with broken flower vases and stones strewn about. Mason vaguely hoped there were no security cameras around.

![](https://i.imgur.com/krr8f2gs.jpg) a halloween serenade illusions shattered scream -- boa words: 155 notes: nada The music seemed to be working. The wannabe-projectiles were slowly released, and Eddie had his music fade out. His shoulders heaved with deep breaths, his brain trying to catch up with how disastrous the evening had just gone, only to stiffen when Roy touched him.
He stared at Roy as his friend mentioned that Eddie had scared them, his gaze turning to Mason when Mason's words backed Roy up.
"I didn't mean to worry you guys," Eddie said, "but I... C'mon, what would you guys have said if I mentioned wanting to meet with a medium? One that was advertised at the high school, no less? No offense," he added quickly to Seer.
Especially since it was proven that spirits actually were around them.
Continuing to make their way out of the cemetery, Eddie murmured, "I wanted to see if my parents would talk to me... See what they think of me now, you know?"

This was one of the most bizarre sessions Seer ever had. They felt Salem swirling around them, no doubt curious as to what just happened, and Seer murmured placating words to the little spirit before Seer's attention was snagged by listening to her client and his friends.
Seer laughed lightly under their breath when Eddie said no offense, and they said, "No offense taken. Bayville High is not the best place to advertise, but during this month, I tend to get a couple of takers."
They paused briefly when the one named Mason actually asked if Seer was alright from everything that had just happened. "I believe so, thank you... Even if I can rightfully blame you for what had happened. Here's hoping that no one gets into any trouble for supposedly vandalizing the cemetery."
The impromptu quartet reached the beginning of the cemetery and Seer gave the three, particularly Eddie, a brief bow, being sure their robe continued to cover them.
"Accept my sympathies for your loss," they said quietly to Eddie. "Perhaps we can try some other time. I will say one thing, though. I'm certain your parents are at least proud of the loyal company you keep."
With one last murmur of good evening, Seer parted ways from the little group. ( Foxtrot Hydro Incognito, exit Seer)

Tag: Incognito FoxtrotWords: 208 Notes: Thank you, Kurt, for being Seer! Roy felt a pang of guilt when Eddie gave a better explanation as to what he was doing contacting Seer and being all secretive about it. He nodded and said, "I am sorry for interfering. I know it was none of our business, but..."
He let his words trail off briefly before trying again. "Look. I know something about not knowing your parents. I'd be lying if I said I've never been curious about mine before, too.
"But I do know that I care about you," he continued, "as one of my best friends. I probably would have been really skeptical about a supposed medium advertised on a high school bulletin board and, yeah, maybe I would have tried to talk you out of spending money on it, but if it was really important to you, then... Well, I would like to think I would have helped however I could."
Seer spoke then, giving their sympathies to Eddie and bidding them all goodbye before going their own way. Roy apologized again, and his curiosity as to Seer's true identity was tampered down so he could focus on his friends.
It had been a long night and all Roy wanted to do was go home with Eddie and Mason.

208 words | Foxtrot Hydro Nightcrawler:seer | Thank you, Kurt! I suppose this will be Incognito's last post, and the ending, if you want? Idk if Ava wants to wrap it up. Mason had the grace to sheepishly look down at the ground when Eddie started talking, sounding simultaneously tired and admonishing.
"I probably would have thought you were joking," Mason admitted when Eddie asked them what they would have thought if he mentioned wanting to try out a high school medium. "That's pretty much what I know you as, the jokester. I didn't... It's shitty of me to not think of you as anything else. I'm sorry, man."
He couldn't truly relate to Eddie and Roy not knowing their parents. Mason himself didn't really know his father, but he at least had his mother.
Vaguely, he wondered how she'd respond if he asked her to adopt his friends.
Roy gave a nice speech about being there for Eddie, and Mason agreed. "I would done the same," he said, reaching over to swing his arms around both Eddie and Roy, bringing them into a hug. "We're all on the same side."
Seer took that time to say goodbye and Mason replied the same, with the added, "Uh, sorry for trying to use you as a bargaining piece against the, um, spirits..."
Glancing back at Eddie and Roy, Mason asked, "Shall we go back to the manor before the teachers wake up?"

Eddie could feel whatever energy he had left start to drain out of him, and it didn't help that a couple of friends -- those he could consider his best friends, he realized -- were giving him a heartfelt speech about caring about him and wanting to help out and just making him well aware that he was not alone.
There were times where he had felt a little alone, a thing he would only admit to himself. It sounded ridiculous to feel alone, not when he lived in a mansion full of others like himself, but there was a reason why he was generally so extroverted.
Eddie took a deep breath, his shoulders shuddering, and he hoped that he was able to blink away the exhausted tears that were collecting at the corners of this eyes. Mason pulling him and Roy into a hug helped him hide them.
Seer gave him their sympathies and a kind comment about Eddie's parents and friends. He gave them a smile and a murmured thank you, apologizing for how everything went that evening. Seer didn't appear to hold a grudge as they seemed to float down the sidewalk, and Eddie nodded when Mason mentioned the manor.
"Yeah." Eddie nodded. "Yeah, let's go home, guys... Thank you."
