There was a convenient wooded area not too far from Harbor View High's fields, which is where Isaac parked his car off-road. Some of the punks on the Harbor View's sports teams were talking down about Bayville High's teams, so Isaac figured a little (mostly) harmless prank was in order. Bayville had some decent school spirit and he had gotten some responses to the student group chat, both from those who were as insulted as he was and those who just wanted to cause some mischief.
The flag was flying high by the school's front entrance, flapping feebly in the small breeze that came with twilight. Isaac waited by his car for others to show up, trying to figure out the best way to take the flag down. They could simply just use the cords to take it down, maybe put something else back up in its place, but if the pole itself wasn't too long, maybe they could unhinge the base and lay it all on the front lawn...
He'd see what others thought about it.

How dare Harbor View challenge them. When Arthur got the text from one of the more well-known football players at the high school, he was game to go.
"I'm surprised you want to join," Brooke had said when he called her about it, with him being able to hear her smile through the line. "You're usually a bit more straight-laced than this."
"Does it impress you, Nimue?" he asked his girlfriend cheekily. She laughed and he continued. "I mean, it's stupid that they tried to challenge us in the first place, but it's my senior year. I want to do something daring. I'm sure my good behavior for the past few years will help me if we get caught. Besides, I'm going to be with some of the star athletes of the school. The school board and staff are always in their favor. We'll be fine."
"Still, be careful," Brooke said. "Let me know when you get home, okay?"
"Of course, m'lady."
Which brought Arthur to this spot, having followed the directions that were given out amid the group text to meet up with the others who were brave enough to teach Harbor View a lesson.
"Good evening," Arthur said, greeting the others. "What is the plan?" ( Isaac Bates, open!)

Andrew was definitely of the "wanted to cause some mischief" part of the student group that showed up at Isaac's call.
He gave Isaac a nod and surveyed who else had shown up to play their own version of capture the flag. He gazed off in the distance to watch Harbor View's flag flapping in the wind atop of the main flagpole and he turned to Isaac, "I certainly hope none of you are planning on just scaling the pole to rip the thing down."
Andrew reached into his crossbody tote bag, bringing out a small laptop. "I've gone on a couple of dates with some lovely Harbor View ladies and have helped with homework occasionally. As such, I do have a couple of usernames and passwords that would let me into the network. I'm pretty sure there's a security camera at the front entrance. I could make sure it was looking the other way, so to speak, if you'd like. I'd sure as hell be useless with any athletic parts of this plan."

There was a decent group that turned out in response to Isaac's text, something he expected.
He didn't quite expect one of the more prominent members of the student government to show up, though.
Isaac raised an eyebrow but did give Arthur a grin when the senior appeared with the type of greeting a fancy restaurant host would give patrons rather than a high schooler ready to cause some mischief.
Andrew showing up to cause said mischief was completely expected.
"We could, if we really wanted to," Isaac said in response to Andrew mentioning that he hoped no one was just going to scale the flagpole. "Was thinking of just unscrewing the base, too."
Andrew, of course, brought out a laptop and was apparently ready to break into Harbor View's network. It would be good to turn the cameras away from the action, and Isaac glanced at the others milling about. "Any other thoughts? We can keep this simple and just deal with the flag itself, or if anyone has any other ideas up their sleeves..."

Arthur felt a little out of place, but he was still game to do his best to help his fellow Bayville High students. Talk about how to snag Harbor View's flag flew around the group, with Andrew actually bringing out a laptop and talking about hacking into the rival high school's network.
Arthur raised an eyebrow as Andrew spoke about dates and security cameras. The pair didn't really interact much, but Arthur knew of Andrew, the kid not being shy as far as Arthur heard. Gesturing to the laptop, Arthur asked, "Do you... do stuff like that often?"
Isaac mentioned unscrewing the base of the flagpole, and Arthur tried to mentally predict the trajectory as to where the pole would land from where they were standing, and he said, "I do have an extra one of our flags if we wanted to straight-up replace theirs. I wasn't sure if we wanted to proclaim who took their flag, even though I'm sure they'd figure it out." ( Isaac Bates Andrew Harvey open!)

Andrew barely looked at Arthur when the senior gestured to the laptop and asked his question.
"If you're speaking of dates, yep," Andrew said casually. "Anything else you may be referring to, I'm going to plead the fifth. Wouldn't want you to accidentally become an accessory to any potential network crimes, right?"
He raised an eyebrow, the rest of his expression deadpanned, when Isaac mentioned that they could just scale the flagpole. Andrew wasn't truly surprised at the neanderthal response.
"I like unscrewing the base much better," Andrew said, "and probably lowering it gently so we don't cause too much noise or damage. Double that if we do decide to replace the flag with our own. I'd rather not do anything that is borderline illegal if we're going to leave proof behind that Bayville High was the one who messed with their flag."
He was working on Harbor View's network, borrowing the login credentials of a pretty lady he went out with at the end of last school year. She would have graduated by now, but her login still worked. Apparently Harbor View's IT department didn't switch out old students' school emails and such in a timely fashion.

Isaac was rather pleased that Arthur, one of the straight-laced students at Bayville High, had enough foresight to bring one of Bayville's flags so they could rub it in Harbor View's face.
Unscrewing the flag pole at the base seemed to be the general consensus, but Isaac said, "Alright, but if we do that, I wouldn't want to put our flag on the pole. Our flag should fly somewhere around their school instead of just laying on the ground."
Granted, it would be amusing if Harbor View's administration just put the flagpole back up again without bothering to check or even realize that it wasn't their flag flying atop of it.
Glancing around at the group with them, Isaac said, "There's enough of us here to safely lower the flagpole. We just gotta figure out where we want to put up our own flag. Stealing Harbor View's flag would be a nice trophy, too."

With Andrew's response to his question, Arthur couldn't help but chuckle out of disbelief. Hey, if he was going to help his fellow Bayville High students with this kind of prank, he was going to be all in. Anything else that would usually alarm his common sense was going to be ignored.
Fortunately, some common sense still prevailed in the group, as most seemed to agree not to do anything technically illegal or cause damages to Harbor View's property. Isaac mentioned that they needed to find a spot to put their flag up, and Andrew said, "Our flag is a decent size. We could put it from the scoreboard by their football field behind the school. I don't know what kind of security they have back there, though."
At that, he turned to Andrew, figuring that their resident tech guy would have a response to that. Andrew himself wouldn't be much help when it came to lowering Harbor View's flagpole - it would be best to leave that to those on the football team. ( Andrew Harvey Isaac Bates)

Just like that, a good plan was forming within their group.
Andrew had to admit, he was rather delighted at Arthur being all in on their little prank. Arthur even seemed to understand their roles enough to look to Andrew as soon as he voiced something about Harbor View's security.
"I can take care of that," Andrew said. "At this time, guess we're splitting up into, say, two and a half teams? Got the musclebound football players to lower Harbor View's flagpole and take their flag, and Mr. Knox can lead a group to go and put up our flag on their scoreboard. I'll be the connection between the two and probably hang out here with the cars."
He paused, glancing around at everyone else before just plopping down on the ground with his laptop and typing away. "Unless anyone has any objections to that, I think we're good to go. The football team can go now, that camera is looking the other way. Arthur, by the time your team gets around the back, you'll be fine too."

Isaac raised an eyebrow at Andrew's description of the "musclebound" football players. He wouldn't dispute it, though. Even Arthur seemed on board with everything, despite his goody-two-shoes reputation.
As such, Isaac slapped Arthur on the back, said, "Good thinking," and nodded along with Andrew's breakdown of their plan.
"It's go time!" Isaac's call was the last thing that was said before he and a handful of his teammates went through the wooded area towards the front of Harbor View's main building. He knew what Andrew could do and trusted that he correctly made the security cameras look the other way.
Still, Isaac assigned a couple of his teammates to be lookouts while he and the others started to take down the flagpole itself. Isaac was doing his part in holding onto the pole while someone else started unscrewing the base, and he helped to start lowering the metal pole to the ground, aiming to angle it towards the front door but obviously away from the street itself.

Arthur wiped his palms on his pants, finding them getting a little sweaty in anticipation, but he was good to go as soon as Andrew detailed the plan and Isaac signaled for them all to move out.
Arthur suddenly found himself at the head of the second group, a few of the others looking to follow him, and he took the leadership position in stride. Most probably knew him from the student government council, anyway, so leading came naturally to him.
Rather, it should be.
Arthur led his own group down the pathway, breaking off from Isaac and the other football players to veer to the left. He had to trust Andrew's abilities as they snuck around to the back of Harbor View's main building, finding the scoreboard easily enough. There were a few floodlights pointing towards the scoreboard, and Arthur directed a couple of those in his group as lookouts. He didn't expect to find anyone else there, but he highly doubted the floodlights were connected to the network for Andrew to move (not that Andrew was close by to even see the floodlights) so it was more out of caution than anything else.
"Alright, let's make sure it's straight," Arthur said to the few who were helping him hang up their flag. With any luck, they'd be making a break for it back to the meeting spot within a few minutes. ( Andrew Harvey Isaac Bates)

Andrew almost shushed Isaac when the football player gave the call to action, but he was gone before Andrew could think of doing so. He mentally shrugged and went back to Harbor View's network, making sure that Arthur and his team wouldn't have any issues with putting up Bayville High's flag on the scoreboard.
It was almost laughable how simple it was to break into Harbor View's network and play around with the security cameras. Maybe this would inspire the school's IT support to take the security up a notch. At the very least, maybe it'd be more of a challenge if Andrew ever had to go into Harbor View's network again.
Andrew glanced around his little area with the cars, hoping that it would take Isaac and Andrew with their teams too long. He wasn't quite sure how long he wanted to sit on the ground with his laptop, waiting for the other two groups to finish up. They probably should have synchronized their watches or something, give themselves a ten-minute deadline. If one group wasn't done within the time limit, then the others should take off to lessen the risk of being caught.
Too late for that now. He'd just use his best judgement. As such, he watched as the flagpole itself wobbled before starting to be lowered to the ground.

"Alright, I think we got it," Isaac said, the flagpole officially on the ground.
One of his teammates tore off Harbor View's flag from the end of the line, snickering all the while as the flag ripped rather than being gently untied. Isaac couldn't do anything about that now even if he wanted to, and he glanced behind their group as if he could spot the second half of them coming back from around the other side of the school. Isaac toyed with the idea of waiting for the other group to catch up with them, or if his team should just finish up with their task and make it back to the cars.
Someone else from the football team seemed to make the decision for him, asking why they were still waiting around since they got the flag, and started leading the way back through the woodlands and up the hill to where Andrew and his laptop were. Isaac shrugged to himself, figured the others would be fine on their own, and followed the rest of his team.
"And done." Isaac tossed the Harbor View flag towards Andrew, uncaring what happened to it now that they took it.

His group eventually got their own flag up on Harbor View's scoreboard, and Arthur sincerely hoped that Andrew had been able to do his part of this scheme. The longer Arthur was out and in a rival school's territory, the more antsy he became.
Yet, they seemed to have done it and were in the clear. After they ensured Bayville High's own flag -- bearing their proud mountain hawk-eagle symbol -- was secure, Arthur directed his group to get going. They darted back around the building, saw that Harbor View's flagpole was both on the ground and without their own flag, and made their way back up to the original meeting point. Isaac and his group were already there, and Arthur couldn't help the giddy grin when he saw Harbor View's flag by Andrew.
"So..." Arthur paused, glancing back down the hill towards the school. "Is that it? We did it?"
To Andrew, he asked, "You're sure there's no way they'll know it was us who did this?"
Because, hey, Arthur did have a reputation to uphold, after all. ( Andrew Harvey Isaac Bates)

"Hey--!"
Andrew flailed and nearly knocked over his laptop when Isaac tossed the Harbor View flag at him. "I don't want this," Andrew said, crumpling it up and tossing it back to Isaac. Due to the fabric and material, it didn't go far. "Toss it somewhere in the woods. Or keep it as your own trophy. I don't care."
Arthur appeared with his own group with them looking relieved and elated for what they had accomplished. Andrew worked on shutting down his laptop and putting it away, saying, "Yeah, that's it. Good job, teams!
"If we get caught," Andrew said, his tone somewhat serious, "then I owe you all... something. I don't know what. But if we get caught when I was supposed to virtually hide us from their network, then that's all on me. My magic should be enough to keep us anonymous, though. I wouldn't worry.
"On that note." He gave everyone a two-finger salute and trudged back to his car. "Have a good night, all. Can't wait to see what social media says about this tomorrow."
