Description: Kurt Wagner's mutation granted him navy-blue, fuzzy skin with golden eyes, slight fangs, and a prehensile tail, along with three fingers on each hand and two toes. At the institute, he goes around just as he is, but he does have a holographic image inducer that will produce a more "normal" appearance for him when he ventures outside of the mansion. He has the lean build of a gymnast, with a collection of decent muscles and the height of a few inches short of six feet. His flexible spine allows him to spend much of his time in a semi-crouching position without damaging his posture and enabling him to perform contortionist-like feats.
Personality: Despite looking as if he's related to the devil, Kurt is quite the gentleman. With his looks, Kurt is most likely the one on the team whom faced the most prejudice from the humans, and yet this discrimination has shaped his gentle, open-minded nature. Raised in isolation, he grew up craving companionship, granting him a friendly disposition, if not also making him extremely loyal and a touch clingy to those he views as his friends and family. He can connect easily with others usually with his good sense of humor. Somewhat of a clown, he loves hearing others laugh and seeing smiles, but is also extremely dependable during serious situations and does his best to never let anyone down. He's adaptable and flexible when it comes to others, doing his best to accommodate them and making others feel at ease. In his current position, his greatest wish is to help his fellow X-Men and the New Recruits understand and fulfill their potentials.
Powers: Physically, Nightcrawler's deep blue skin allows him to camouflage effectively in the shadows, rendering him almost invisible in the dark. He also has a prehensile tail that aids him as a third arm, having the strength to hold onto the rest of his body weight should he use it to hang off of an object. Besides his obvious physical mutations, Nightcrawler is primarily a teleporter. He does this by displacing his body mass through another dimension and reappearing in a different location. He is able to teleport himself, his clothes, and a certain amount of other physical mass up to a couple of miles away from his starting point.
Weaknesses: Nightcrawler must know the location that he is teleporting to. It is extremely dangerous for him to attempt to teleport to an area that he has never seen, for he runs the risk of partially teleporting inside objects or walls. These impacts, if they ever happened, could severely injure or even kill him. Although his blue skin helps to camouflage him in the dark, he is still able to be detected by infrared and heat vision.
Skills/Hobbies: Kurt has natural grace, speed, and agility, which may or may not be due to his physical mutation. Nevertheless, he is one of the most flexible members on the team, having the ability to contort his body much like a skilled gymnast without harming himself. Kurt is also a talented fencer, always having enjoyed the idea of being a rogue swashbuckler. He's bilingual as well in German and English.
History: Kurt was born with his physical mutations to his mother Mystique, a mutant shape-shifter. Kurt's father was Azazel from La Isla des Demonas, a demonic mutant that is currently in the Brimstone Dimension. Kurt's birth revealed his and his mother's mutations, causing Mystique to abandon her son, accidentally tossing him over a bridge and into a river. Luckily, young Kurt was found by a kind couple who raised him as their own. He grew up isolated from others due to his appearance, but his parents were supportive and loved him deeply just the same.
Around the age of fourteen, Kurt's other mutation became apparent. During the middle of the night, Kurt accidentally teleported himself to various locations around the house, even going so close as to the village that they lived nearby. After that initial fiasco, his parents actually encouraged him to practice his powers, if only to ensure that he would be able to keep control over his teleportation abilities. Not too long after, the Wagners were contacted by Professor Xavier and agreed to allow their son to live at the institute if it would better help Kurt and keep him safe. Kurt was thrilled, for he would finally be able to make friends after being isolated for so long. He will always love his parents, of course, but he did not want to hide from the world forever. As soon as he had been able to, Kurt moved from his hometown to the great city of New York to live on its outskirts at the Xavier Institute.
Since then, Kurt had thrived with his new friends and life, learning secrets about himself and the others while protecting those who fear them most. Kurt has since found himself in the position of headmaster with his teammates, vowing to honor his missing mentor's memories and passion for wanting a safe world for both humans and mutants. He vows to give the students their best chances at reaching their dreams for their own futures.
