Words: 162 Tag: HydroKurt grinned, trying hard not to chuckle under his breath at Roy's dry tone and quirked smile in regards to the idea of babysitting Willow.
"She probably does not need babysitting, really," Kurt said, "as I'm sure she will understand the idea of being discreet. However, she will be the type who will want a friend by her side, if what I've gleamed of her nature from the few times I've spoken to her indicated anything."
The pair headed out of the sub-basement and towards the elevator to get back to the main level of the manor. Kurt glanced over at Roy when the teen asked about their high school schedules. "I imagine you will get them soon," he said. "Granted, we can simply go and ask Sierra about your schedule. Yours may have been delayed due to being a new student at Bayville High come the fall.
"Are there any particular classes you want to take?" Kurt asked. "Any special electives?"

Roy paused as the pair went up the elevator and nodded when Kurt mentioned that they could simply go to Sierra if Roy was truly curious about his high school schedule for the upcoming year. He wasn't sure if it was weird that he was living in the same place as his high school principal. Granted, the orphanage Roy came from did the schooling as well, so it's not like Roy wasn't used to seeing his teachers every day outside of school hours. He was sure a public high school would be a whole different ballgame, though.
"Electives?" Roy asked. "Uh, haven't really thought about it, to be honest. I'm not really sure what I'm interested in other than maybe just getting a diploma as quickly as possible." After a moment, he asked, "What did you take in high school? You went to Bayville High, right?"

Words: 239 Tags: Hydro"I'm sure you'll both get along just fine," Kurt said. "In the time I've known you, you've proven to be a responsible, young man. You have a bit of a dry humor, sometimes self-depreciating in a way that I'm actually hoping that Willow will be able to help you cut that out. Providing she, of course, is as friendly as I first perceived."
Kurt's words were more matter-of-fact, slightly teasing, rather than unkind. "I think you both will be good friends to each other."
The pair reached the main floor and Kurt listened as Roy admitted to having not really thought about his classes. "I do recommend you talking to Sierra, then," Kurt said. Nudging the teen, he added, "You may get stuck in an elective you have no interest in if you don't choose it yourself. As a sophomore, you'll have a few other options, but as a new student to Bayville, there may be other class requirements you'll need before graduating.
"What did I take?" Kurt paused a moment, trying to recall. "Pretty sure I took German for a year before my guidance counselor basically told me I was cheating and strongly urged me to choose different electives during the next couple of years," he said with a fanged grin. Wood and auto shop were popular with sophomore and junior guys. There may also be more options for you than there was for me fifteen years ago."

Tags: NightcrawlerWords: 213 Notes: Figured this may be a good ending to the thread. Thanks again! Roy raised an eyebrow at Kurt's description of Roy's humor. Never let it be said that Kurt wasn't honest. He wasn't too blunt, which was nice, but Roy hadn't expected to be described as such.
Still, he nodded, not disagreeing with Kurt's assessment.
Roy chuckled when Kurt mentioned some of the electives he had taken in his time at Bayville High, including German. "Easy class for you, huh?" he asked. Roy didn't know if he wanted to take a foreign language, but if he did, he probably would pick German just because he lived with a native speaker.
Neither wood nor auto shop sounded bad either, but Roy wasn't really interested in them. By the sounds of it, Roy would need to figure out if he had any other class requirements before being able to pick out an elective or two.
"Yeah, I'll talk to Sierra soon," Roy said, figuring that'd be the easiest route to go. He'd probably after to catch her after dinner sometime. She was already going into the high school during some days in order to prepare for the new school year, despite how it was still June.
"Thanks, though, Kurt," the teen said, giving the teacher a small smile. "I'm going to hit the showers. See you later."
